An Elf in the woods

I photographed the cosplayer and creator of special masks Stefania Rais, she lent this morning to test my new purchase, a flash Godox Witstro AD-400 PRO. The camera I used is still the Fujifilm x-pro 2 with two optics, the 16mm 1.4 to f1.4 and the 56 mm 1.2 to f 1.4.

The Flash was mounted on a stand with a 120cm octabox, on the other side, for the lightening of the shadows I wanted to use a reflective panel.

The AD-400 is a very powerful flash with a size that is not exaggerated, these are the first shots I’ve been able to make since I got it and the overall impression is very good, the speed of lightning is fast, the power it is adjustable from 1/256 to 1/1 and the transport is facilitated by a rigid padded bag, I had to buy separately the shoulder strap which, despite the presence of the rings, is not included.

The Godox AD-400 is an outdoor flash with 400Ws of power, 0.01-1s recycling time, 12 continuous flashes in 1/16 output power, stable temperature color.

Built with Godox 2.4G Wireless System, AD400 PRO is compatiible with Canon E-TTL II, Nikon i-TTL autoflash, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus and Panasonic TTL. Supports 1 / 8000s high speed sync. With master & slave functions, the AD400PRO can be used in combination with Godox TTL flash cameras, TTL flash units, etc. Supplied with a Bowens ring to install Bowens attachments.

It is possible to buy adapter rings from other brands to use other accessories: Broncolor, Profoto, Elinchrom etc. Flash triggers from the XPro series (the one used in this test) and X1 are recommended. The flash has a lithium battery with large capacity (21.6V / 2600 mAh) to be able to perform 390 flashes at full power and recycle in 0.01-1 seconds. The flash weighs only 2.1Kg and has measures reduced 220x102x128mm.

The package includes:

1 Flash
1 Flash Tube
1 Lithium battery
1 Charger
1 Cable
1 Reflector
1 Bowens adapter ring
1 Chiavino
1 transport bag
1 Instruction manual

unfortunately the service was interrupted after a few minutes due to the rain.
